Compression springs include many parameters, so let’s first understand the meaning of its parameters.

Material- the raw material of spring

Wire diameter – the diameter of the spring material

 

Outer diameter – the outer diameter of the spring

 

Number of turns – the total number of turns and the number of supporting turns at each end

 

Free length – the length of the body in the free state

 

Force – The working height of the spring when the spring has a force requirement – how much force the spring has when it is pressed (or depressed) to what length.

1, the same specification size parameters of the spring, if only change the spring wire diameter, then the larger the wire diameter, the greater the spring force, and vice versa is small.

 

2、If you change only the outer diameter of the spring under the same size parameter, the larger the outer diameter, the smaller the spring’s elasticity, and vice versa.

 

3、If you change only the number of coils of the spring under the same size parameter, the smaller the number of coils, the greater the spring’s elasticity, and vice versa.

 

4. For a spring of the same size, if you change only the free length of the spring, the longer the length, the greater the spring force, and vice versa.
